In 1983 Adrian and Elizabeth VanLeeuwen and family moved from Holland to Tillsonburg and by 1984 opened up Poultry Specialties.
Over the years the business progressed and their Son Aad Jr could see that there was a need to purchase a larger facility to accommodate their growing retail and wholesale customers.
In 2008, they purchased and moved to a larger building with a temperature controlled warehouse where their employees prepare the orders for their customers. This new property also enabled them to offer a larger store front to display their many products for their retail customers.
Aad Sr has since retired and Aad Jr along with his wife Amanda own and operate the family business. They are passionate about their business ensuring that all of their customers are provided with the best quality protein.
As a provincial processing facility, Poultry Specialties is regularly inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food. All their employees are fully trained.
Poultry Specialties sources their product all over Ontario which allows them to find suppliers with the best prices. Over the years they developed loyal customers from Windsor to Niagara Falls They also do their own pickup and delivery and retail sales.
